In July 2008 our Origen Tangerine Chardonnay Vinegar won one gold star and the Origen Green Chili Chardonnay Vinegar won two gold stars at The Great Taste Awards in the UK . The Great Taste Awards has, over 15 years, become the ‘Oscars’ of speciality food and drink organized by The Guild Of Fine Food. Now in its 15th year, the Great Taste Awards has gained widespread recognition among the country’s retailers and consumers and is now seen as the benchmark for fine food in the UK. Those products fortunate enough to receive an award cannot only claim to be of the finest quality, but prove it too.
This year of 4,800 foods for judging, in total there were over 1150 gold awards of which 847 achieved 1 star, 220 were awarded 2 star and 72 received the coveted 3 stars. From the start, all foods have been blind tasted by a panel of selected.providing consumers with the most thorough and robust food accreditation available. All entries undergo rigorous blind tasting tests by a specially selected panel of expert judges from all parts of the fine food business, including fine food retailers, speciality distributors, highly regarded restaurateurs, leading chefs, buyers, food critics, food writers and deli owners.
Products have been independently proven to be of origin, quality and excellence.
